PRESCHOOL

New Hope Christian School’s preschool program is housed at New Hope Leeward’s Waipahu campus. Our experienced preschool staff provides a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment for our youngest students. Our preschool has five classrooms and includes a 2’s, 3’s, 4’s, and junior kindergarten (JK) program.

Students entering our:

  • 2’s program must be 2 before they start school AND must be 2 by December of that same year.

  • 3’s program must be a minimum of 2.8 years when school starts in August (and turning 3 by December 31of the current school year).

  • 4’s program must be a minimum of 3.8 years when school starts in August. AND turn 5 before July 31 of the following year.

  • JK program are for those students who will turn 5 after July 31 but before Dec 31 of the current school year.

Our staff understands that early education builds a foundation for future academic success. Our curriculum infuses: hands-on learning, learning through active play and socialization, daily Bible activities, and an introduction in phonics, reading, writing, and pre-math skills.

New Hope Chrisitan School closed its doors to on-campus in Mid-March 2020 due to the global pandemic. In July 2020, NHCS reopened the preschool campus. Our preschool students and preschool staff continue to follow safety protocols to keep our school community safe and healthy. While our two-year-old students are not required to wear a mask, our 3's, 4's, and JK students wear a mask while moving. However, when they are sitting in the class, students may remove their masks. With the combined effort of the entire school community, the school has been able to stop the spread of Covid on campus.
