PASTORAL CARE
Our school operates under the ministry umbrella of New Hope Leeward, and pastoral care for students and staff is part of our spiritual formation and discipleship ministry.

Pastoral care is not a substitute for professional mental health or legal counseling. When needs exceed the scope of pastoral care, appropriate referrals will be recommended.

Pastoral care at New Hope Leeward is a ministry of biblical counsel, mentoring, and spiritual encouragement offered to individuals, couples, and families within our church and school community.

This care is faith-based, voluntary, and free of charge, except for minimal material costs.

Confidentiality
All information shared in pastoral care is confidential except where disclosure is required by law or deemed necessary to protect the safety of individuals or the community.

It is the policy of New Hope Leeward to report to appropriate persons or legal authorities any of the following:
-
Evidence or reasonable suspicion of child abuse or neglect (ages 18 and under)
-
Evidence of elder or dependent-adult abuse
-
Threats of harm to self or others
-
Information that poses a threat to the church, school, or ministry community
