New Hope Christian School is a ministry of New Hope Leeward. Our mission is to provide a Christ-centered education that inspires students to become life-long learners and effective communicators who will impact the world for Jesus Christ.

NHCS has two campuses. Our Waipahu campus houses our preschool (ages 2 - JK) and our Kapolei campus houses our Elementary/Middle School students (kindergarten through eighth grade).

Non-Discriminatory Policy

New Hope Christian School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to the students at NHCS. NHCS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and other school-administered programs.

In light of COVID-19, NHCS has had to make changes...

Like all schools across the nation, NHCS was forced to make adjustments to our traditional on-campus instruction due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In July 2020, the school reopened for preschool summer care and in August we began a new school year for all PS 2's through 8th-grade students. The safety and well-being of our school community continue to be at the forefront of every decision we make.

Currently, NHCS is continuing with open enrollment for the 2021 - 2022 school year. If you are interested in applying, we welcome you to:

  • Browse through our website to become more familiar with our school.

  • Email info@nhcshi.org with additional questions.

  • Complete and submit the online application form and fee.

  • Please note - Traditional tours cannot be set up at this time, however, we can set up a phone call or zoom meeting with our principal to answer any enrollment questions or general questions you may have.

7th and 8th Grade Service-Learning Projects -

Our 7th and 8th grade students are partnering with several local non-profits, helping them on several Saturdays this month.

Here are the mission and vision statements that the class came up with:

Mission – to help eliminate pollution in our ‘aina (land) through education and building relationships with the community.

Vision – to restore our ‘aina and have lokahi (unity) with one another

The intent for the Service-Learning Projects is to meet our Expected School Wide Learning Outcomes such as Christ-centered individuals, perpetual learners, effective communicators, and world changers.

Throughout the Service Learning the students had various roles such as project leader, secretary, research/information officer, public speaker, and product administrator.  These positions pushed the students to step into new territories, fostered teamwork, and effective communication.

A part of their capstone project as 7th and 8th graders, we are requiring participation in at least 2 of the Service-Learning Projects.
